St George, one of London's leading mixed-use developers, announces the future opening of Sainsbury's Local at their Kew Bridge development, the first within the St George and Berkeley Group.
Sainsbury's will soon be the first commercial operator to open for trade at Kew Bridge, with many more operators expressing an interest in the latest mixed use development by St George. The letting of 3,487 sqft (323.95 sqm) prime retail space marks a mutually beneficial deal and is the first between St George and Sainsbury's.
Sainsbury's Local stores offer customers great value, quality and fresh food close to where they live and work. They sell a range of up to 2,500 products including fresh produce, wines and spirits and in-store bakery.
Ian Dobie, Managing Director, St George West London, commented:
"I am delighted to announce this deal. The beauty of bringing a Sainsbury's Local store concept to Kew Bridge is that our residents' and the local community will get a nationally renowned top class operator, offering all the benefits of the traditional village shop. This will only enhance the reputation of Kew Bridge as one of London's most exciting missed use riverside communities."
David McElhannan, Regional Acquisition Manager, Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd commented:
"Kew Bridge is an excellent location and we look forward to working together with other retailers to make this an attractive and exciting place to live, eat and shop."
Also soon to open at Kew Bridge will be the One Over the Ait Bar and Bistro by Fullers.
