The Schemes

Assisted Move

Assisted Move offers an effective way to help you secure your new home with Berkeley, whilst we help you sell your current home, without having to pay estates agent fees.

How it Works:

Part Exchange

Part exchange offers an immediate solution to securing your new home, without the hassle of selling on the open market.

How it Works:

Choose Your New Home

Once you have chosen your new Berkeley Home, the sales team will ask you to complete a MOVE+ application form.

Valuation

MOVE+ will arrange for 3 agents to value your property. These valuations will then be collated into a master report.

Agree Price

Together, we will review the report. Once the marketing price for your current home is agreed, we will then hold your new Berkeley home of choice for up to 6 weeks with a holding fee.

Appointing Agents

MOVE+ will instruct up to three top local estate agents to market your property, with NO tie-in periods and will manage the agents throughout the process.

On the Market

MOVE+ will financially qualify any offers and carefully check the chain prior to you accepting an offer on your current home.

Sales Agreed

Once Sold Subject to Contract, your holding fee becomes your reservation fee. Berkeley and MOVE+ liaise with all solicitors and agents within the chain to ensure your sales progresses as smoothly as possible.

Choose Your New Home

Once you have chosen your new Berkeley Home, the sales team will ask you to complete a Part Exchange application form.

Valuation

MOVE+ will arrange for 3 local agents to value your property. One of the Berkeley team will also call out a home visit. These valuations will then be collated into a master report.

Offer

Berkeley will give you a written guarantee of a purchase price, based on the average valuation of your existing home.

Decision

Once you accept the offer, you will reserve your new home and exchange contracts in the usual manner. You will exchange with 10% of the purchase price minimum, unless otherwise agreed.

Sit Tight!

You can remain in your current home for up to 6 months until your new Berkeley home is ready for completion.
