This Easter, The Green Quarter transformed into a wonderland of festivities, bringing joy and excitement to families. Together with OPEN Southall, Parkside Yards hosted an Easter fun day, from the iconic Easter Bunny to the thrill of the egg hunt, and the creativity of egg painting and bonnet making, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Easter Bunny Extravaganza
The star of the show, of course, was none other than the beloved Easter Bunny. Children's faces lit up with delight as they caught sight of the fluffy mascot hopping around, spreading cheer and joining in with the fun.
Egg-citing Egg Hunt
The Easter egg hunt in the tree nursery at Parkside Yards created a trail for children to find the woodland animals and gain a prize at the end. Children eagerly searched for the wooden creatures amongst the 600 potted trees, to claim their chocolate egg.
Creative Egg Painting
For those with an artistic flair, the egg painting station was the place to be. Tables were adorned with paints, brushes, and an array of decorations, allowing participants to let their imagination run wild. From intricate designs to whimsical patterns, each egg was a unique masterpiece, reflecting the creativity of its creator.
Easter Bonnet Bonanza
Meanwhile, at the bonnet making station, families worked together to craft their own Easter headwear. With ribbons, flowers, and feathers galore, participants transformed simple hats into fabulous works of art. The vibrant colours and playful designs added an extra touch of charm to the festivities, as families proudly showcased their creations throughout the day.
A Day to Remember
With over 200 people attending the event over the course of the day, Easter at The Green Quarter brought families and communities together, to get creative, indulge in some chocolate and have lots of fun.
