St George has delivered a further 177 affordable homes at Beaufort Park in Colindale. The homes, which will be managed by Notting Hill Housing, are for people and families on low incomes and add to the 440 affordable homes already delivered in the development.
Over 2,000 homes have now been delivered at Beaufort Park, which in little over a decade, has seen the transformation of a redundant RAF aerodrome to a vibrant new community with a thriving high street and commercial centre.
Councillor Richard Cornelius, the Leader of Barnet Council, commented:
"Beaufort Park is a fantastic place and I am delighted to be here today to mark the delivery of a further 177 affordable homes.
Beaufort Park has made a fantastic contribution to Barnet through the homes delivered, facilities provided and employment opportunities that have benefitted local people in construction and in the offices, shops and restaurants."
Craig Carson, Managing Director of St George West London said:
"I am delighted to be celebrating the delivery of a further 177 affordable homes at Beaufort Park. We are very proud of what we have created here. With over 2,000 homes delivered, as well as 71,000 sq ft commercial floorspace, the park and play areas, Beaufort Park is a vibrant community and a truly mixed use development.
We are grateful to Barnet Council, Notting Hill and all our other partners who have helped make Beaufort Park such a successful place.
I am also delighted that we are adding to Beaufort Park's appeal with three new operators about to open; Hannah Beauty Salon, Vivo music centre and Rouge dance studios. Soon you will be able to shop, eat and dance at Beaufort Park as well as buy a musical instrument and learn to play it."
Mark Vaughan, Group Director of Housing at Notting Hill Housing added:
"We are excited to be managing these high quality new homes at Beaufort Park, which will provide great places to live for our residents. It is fantastic to be working with St George and Barnet Council to provide much needed affordable homes in the borough."
When complete, Beaufort Park will comprise 3,231 homes, 687 of which will be affordable; 85,000 sq ft of commercial space; and eight acres of landscaped open space.
