St George, in partnership with London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, is delighted to announce the opening of Imperial Park at Imperial Wharf, London's leading riverside destination.
Imperial Park is the first new public park of its size to be completed in London for 50 years, incorporating a tree-lined avenue, extensive grassed areas, formal planting, a boating pond and a children's play area. Its unique riverside setting encourages wildlife, enhances biodiversity and provides an exceptional new public space for the enjoyment of residents and the local community.
Speaking at the recent Celebrating Imperial Wharf event, The Worshipful the Mayor of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Councillor Alex Karmel, commented: "I am delighted to officially celebrate the completion of Imperial Park. This is an excellent example of successful public private partnership between London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the socially aware developer St George. I am sure this new parkland will continue to grow and become a thriving part of our community."
Ross Faragher, Managing Director, St George Central London, commented: "We are delighted to open Imperial Park for the benefit of our residents and the local community in this fantastic location on the north bank of the river Thames."
Imperial Park forms part of over 10 acres of landscaped parkland at Imperial Wharf, which recently received an award at the highly acclaimed London in Bloom awards, leading visitors to the river walkway and Sensory Gardens; three individual gardens designed to stimulate the senses of Aroma, Sight and Touch.
