9 Millbank’s defining feature is the rich mix of old and new – the restoration of a stunning 1920s Grade II listed building into homes that exemplify contemporary sophistication and capture the very essence of British luxury and style. Along with the original office building, the impressive former Imperial Chemical Industries' (ICI) headquarters, a new building was created alongside to complement and enhance the entire development. This new addition also features stunning homes as well as commercial space at ground level, enhancing Horseferry Road and this entire riverside neighbourhood.

Inside the exquisitely renovated residences you’ll find original features and architectural detail just as majestic and beautiful as the exterior, making these homes truly unique and special. Soaring vaulted ceilings, decorative plaster mouldings, luxurious wood panelling, and grand columns – it’s hard to imagine a more arresting living space in central London.

All residents will have access to state-of-the-art amenities designed by Goddard Littlefair including a gym, swimming pool with spa and treatment room, cinema screening room, meeting rooms, secure underground parking and 24-hour concierge.

Sustainable Design

Throughout the restoration of this historic building, sustainability has been at the heart of the design philosophy. From the materials used to the green spaces, every detail has been carefully planned. All solid timber used in the construction has been responsibly sourced from certified forests, and historic fixtures and features of the building have been retained and meticulously restored, minimising the need for new materials and the amount of waste produced during construction.

There are also plenty of features that will maximise sustainability throughout the building’s life, as well as enable more sustainable lifestyle for its residents. Taps are flow controlled and toilets are all dual flush, and a rainwater harvesting system will capture rainfall to be reused to water landscaped areas. The building has a communal combined heat and power system to reduce associated carbon emissions, while individual apartments have been designed to be as energy efficient as possible with LED lighting, thermostatically controlled heating, and the best in insulation. Residents will have access to electric car charging points for 25 vehicles, with space set aside to double this capacity. There are also 204 cycle parking spaces.

9 Millbank will boast beautiful landscaping with five different species of tree, and a host of different plants and flowers. It will also feature a green roof, helping to improve air quality and provide habitats for butterflies and other wildlife.
