Berkeley Group’s 2024 Sustainability Report is now live, outlining the positive environmental impact that has been delivered by the company from 1 May 2023 to 30 April 2024.
Berkeley Group is targeting the delivery of 90% of future homes on brownfield sites, these developments will transform neglected and underused land and help to shape neighbourhoods that have social and environmental value. Across five focus areas; climate action, communities and sustainable living, nature, resources and environment management the broad-reaching sustainability strategy has delivered results and secured industry recognition. Berkeley Group has received several awards in the past year including the Environment Award at the Better Society Awards and the Conservation Award at the National Sustainability Awards.
The report shares the ways in which Berkeley Group further reduce climate impact through Science Based Targets (SBTs). The SBTs commit the company to specific reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and embodied carbon by 2030.
