For the second time running, St Joseph has been named Urban and City Living Developer of the Year at Insider's Midlands 2020 Residential Property Awards.
Describing Snow Hill Wharf, the judges said: "A really impressive project in an area that up to now has been ignored by developers. This scheme will open the Gun Quarter up to more regeneration. St Joseph has brought London quality development to a neglected area."
The canalside neighbourhood features a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments, alongside podium gardens overlooking the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. Over 40 per cent of the 1.87-acre neighbourhood is outdoor space.
St Joseph has worked closely with key stakeholders, including Birmingham City Council and the Canal & River Trust, to deliver a positive impact in the Gun Quarter. It has regenerated the neighbouring canal by investing into the towpath and building a new 180 metre wall to improve the travelling experience for boaters and walkers.
Ashley Kensington, managing director at St Joseph, said: "Regeneration and placemaking is at the core of everything we do at St Joseph and we are mightily proud to be recognised as Urban and City Living Developer of the Year for the second time.
"We are committed to playing a key role in Birmingham's ongoing transformation, while successfully raising the bar for residential living in the city. This award is a testament to the hard work and close collaboration between St Joseph and its partners.
"The first show home at Snow Hill Wharf is due to launch in November and will demonstrate the quality which we have been striving to achieve in Birmingham. We look forward to being able to build on this award and creating quality new homes in Birmingham and the wider Midlands."
