On 16th October, a group of year three children from Valley Invicta Primary School paid a visit to Berkeley's Holborough Lakes, to learn about the development and see how it is building a new community on their doorstep.
The children from Valley Invicta Primary School, which was built as part of the development and is located at Holborough Lakes, had the chance to explore the development and to learn about the site they live and learn on. The year three class was shown around the development and took part in several interactive activities to learn about the materials used to build Holborough Lakes and how Berkeley creates thriving communities. The visit and activities tied into the children's current schoolwork which has seen them learning about globalisation, including exploring how the area has changed over the years.
Commenting on the school visit, Peter Smith, Managing Director, Berkeley said, "It was wonderful to welcome the children of Valley Invicta Primary School to Holborough Lakes, and to show them how we created their new school and are continuing to deliver new homes for the community. Holborough Lakes by Berkeley made the creation of the new school facilities possible, and we are proud that the development provides brand new facilities for the area and that today's trip could facilitate their learning."
Headteacher of Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes, Ms. Lisa Vickers added, "The children really enjoyed their trip to Holborough Lakes, learning all that goes into creating a new community. Some of the children live at Holborough Lakes and our new school facility is on site, so it was a great opportunity for them to learn how this has all been created."
