Kew Bridge, an award-winning development of stunning apartments and penthouses on the banks of the River Thames, in Kew, has won a top occupational safety and health award.
Kew Bridge developer, St George West London, a division of St George plc, picked up a Gold Award for its approach to occupational safety and health at the development, in an awards scheme run by the safety charity, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
Dating back 57 years, the RoSPA Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at accident records, but also entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, said: "RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. At its scheme at Kew Bridge, St George West London has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of these awards."
Ian Dobie, Managing Director of St George West London, said: "Health and safety at work is a top priority for everyone at St George and I am delighted that this commitment has been recognised by RoSPA's Gold Award for our Kew Bridge development."
Kew Bridge features a range of stunning two- and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses which boast extended landscaped terraces and a roof garden on a par with the area of the internal floor space.
