St Williams 'Recommend a Friend' Scheme Helps First-Time Buyer Find a Home at Clarendon

Kimberly Cornfield first discovered Clarendon  – one of St William’s major regeneration schemes located in Hornsey, North London - whilst out on her regular running route.

After a year of renting a home at Clarendon, she soon fell in love with the development and decided to step on to the property ladder and purchase a one-bedroom apartment of her own.

Kimberly comments: “I used to run past Clarendon three or four times a week, so I always had an interest in what was being built here. I liked the look of it and with my previous tenancy coming to an end, I decided to move into a rented apartment, where I was able to enjoy all the benefits of living in a new regeneration scheme.”

Whilst renting, Kimberly made some great friends and decided to explore the idea of buying her own apartment.

She explains: “Once I’d moved to Clarendon, I made some great friends – including Matt, who owned a one-bedroom apartment which overlooked Alexandra Palace – and after a year of renting, it felt like the right decision to explore the options of buying my own home. So, Matt introduced me to the sales team, where they helped me find the perfect one-bedroom apartment. Since moving in, I’ve referred a couple of friends as I really feel this a great place to live!”

High Quality New Build Homes

Clarendon, a new 12-acre neighbourhood in North London, is delivering over 1,700 new homes to the area, in addition to cafes, shops, green open spaces and exclusive residents’ facilities. Impressed with the high-quality and thoughtful design of St William’s new homes, Kimberly felt it was the perfect next step for her.

She comments: “I was amazed with the quality of the homes, as well as the sustainability and green factors that had been incorporated. Paired with the location, amenities, and the friendly concierge team, I trusted – and already knew - this was a community where I could fully integrate myself.

“The Park Club was a real selling point for me as well – it is due to have range of wellness, fitness, and communal facilities for residents, which will be a great place to meet your neighbours that you perhaps wouldn’t otherwise meet.

“My home at Clarendon is perfect. I love how much natural light floods the property, thanks to the floor to ceiling windows in the living space - it feels as though it connects the indoor and outdoor spaces. I can even see Alexandra Palace from my balcony – I really couldn’t ask for more.”

Best of Both Worlds

When considering buying her first home, location was an important factor. Offering fantastic transport links, green open space and a wealth of amenities, Clarendon ticked all the boxes.

“It’s the perfect balance between bustling London and quiet areas. There are so many places to go out and explore, or to eat or drink. I also have my local running club which I love and has been a great way to get to know the local community.

“I work at a university in London, so good transport connections were another vital factor for me. Wood Green underground station, which is on the Piccadilly Line, is a ten-minute walk away so everything is within very easy reach.”
