The Berkeley Group voted Britain's Most Admired Company 2011
2nd December 2011
The Berkeley Group has been voted Britain's Most Admired Company 2011, the first housebuilder to receive this honour. The prestigious awards, organised by Management Today, celebrate the very best of British business. The title of Most Admired Company is voted by other British companies, which is testament to how Berkeley has earned the respect of its peers and competition alike.
Berkeley was celebrated as a recession-proof housebuilder, with Management Today noting that: "Berkeley's commercial performance is hard to fault. With its unrivalled instinct for the market's highs and lows, Berkeley has run rings around the competition."
Also acknowledged, by the awards, was The Berkeley Group's founder and chairman Tony Pidgley, who became the first entrepreneur to secure a coveted Most Admired Silver Star. This recognised his astute business sense in guiding the company towards ever-increasing levels of success.
