Roman House, a development of 90 homes in the City of London, has today won the prestigious title of Britain's most considerate construction site.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards recognise the highest levels of care shown towards the general public, site staff and the environment.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards this year presented the Berkeley Group with a total of 36 awards. This comprised of 11 Bronze Awards, 15 Silver Awards, 8 Gold Awards, 1 Runner up for Most Considerate Site and the overall winner of Most Considerate Site.
Berkeley was announced as the Winner of the Achievement in Sustainability category at the PLC Awards held on 19 March 2015. It was highlighted at the awards that key to achieving this accolade was that Berkeley maintains a high degree of transparency in respect of its sustainability risks and opportunities.
The EG Awards celebrated the very best of the industry on Thursday 11 December at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Produced by Estates Gazette, the awards brings together some of the most influential decision-makers in the property community. Berkeley Group was successful on the night, winning one of the industries most prestigious accolades, 'Best Property Company - Residential' for a consecutive year.
Said one judge simply: "It is the residential development brand that all others aspire to emulate."
Berkeley is proud to have come top of the 2014 NextGeneration benchmark which measures the sustainability performance of the largest 25 housebuilders in Britain. Berkeley has been ranked first in all eight NextGeneration benchmarks undertaken to date.
