On Saturday 13th July, residents and the Hildenborough community enjoyed a celebration at our Summer Home and Lifestyle Showcase at the village’s newest collection of homes, Oakhill. Welcoming local people from across Hildenborough and Tonbridge, over 120 guests of all ages joined Berkeley directors to officially open the brand-new show home in collaboration with Tonbridge-based design studio Neptune, and take part in a variety of exclusive activities on offer throughout the day.
Guests in attendance enjoyed an array of activities, including face painting from Little Poppets and a nature trail around the development and neighbouring country park, before tasting the open-fire cooked BBQ canapes courtesy of BBQ Magazine. Guests also had the opportunity to try their hand at the UK’s fastest growing racket sport - padel - on the newly-opened padel court, with instruction from one of the UK’s leading padel coaches, Toby Bawden, who was on hand to offer tips.
Toby Bawden of Hexa Padel comments: “I was thrilled to be invited down to Oakhill to try out the new padel court and coach some of the local community. It was brilliant to get out onto the court with lots of new padel players and showcase the enjoyment of this fantastic sport, and how accessible it is for everyone. Hopefully we’ve inspired lots of people to take up padel today!”
The event also provided residents with the first look inside the beautiful new five bedroom show home in Oakhill Copse and luxurious Grade II listed converted apartments in Oakhill House. Designed by renowned interior design studio Neptune, the exclusively designed show home epitomises luxury featuring Berkeley’s signature high-quality specification, showcasing exactly what life could look like at Oakhill.
