Berkeley Group has been awarded two major accolades at the 2026 RESI Awards, which celebrate excellence across the residential sector.
The company was crowned Large Developer of the Year and secured the Development of the Year Award for its Oval Village transformation, highlighting Berkeley’s continued leadership in delivering high‑quality homes, sustainable places and complex brownfield regeneration at scale.
In awarding Large Developer of the Year, the judges praised Berkeley’s “strong regeneration leadership and clear commitment to delivering high-quality, complex brownfield schemes at scale”, and “best-in-class ESG performance, particularly in biodiversity and climate disclosure.”
Oval Village was also recognised as a “truly outstanding flagship scheme demonstrating exceptional vision, scale and design excellence.” Judges praised the “transformative regeneration of a long-derelict industrial site”, which showcases “genuine innovation, including the sensitive reuse of historic infrastructure… and a clear commitment to placemaking and local economic benefit...”
Richard Stearn, Chief Executive of Berkeley Group, said: “Congratulations to the whole Berkeley Group team on these fantastic awards from Property Week.
“They reflect the outstanding people working across our business and our passion for delivering exceptional new homes and places. Successful regeneration is all about collaborative working, and we could not deliver these positive outcomes without the support of our local communities, partners and suppliers.
“The challenge now is to work in partnership to unlock the next generation of regeneration sites and deliver the new homes and fantastic benefit that come with them.”
