This striking monument was built in 1985 as part of Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fujii’s advocacy for world peace and non-violence. It is one of only 80 Peace Pagodas in the world.

The Peace Pagoda is open to the public for anyone seeking a peaceful spot or interested in exploring Buddhist culture. Situated right next to the River Thames, the Peace Pagoda also offers beautiful panoramic views over Chelsea Embankment.
