Grand Union: A Slam Dunk for American Sports & Music Fans Relocating to London
When it comes to watching sport, London is renowned for its venues, bars, and general commitment to its beloved teams. It is no surprise then that London has been placed at the top of the list of best places in the UK to be a sports fan, according to a study from NSoft.
The company analysed 30 cities to determine where is top when it comes to the viewing of live sports, with London ranked top overall for its number of stadiums, of which it has 26, and number of professional sports teams, of which there are 25. There are also more than 200 sports bars and pubs to choose from.
With agent data revealing an increasing interest in American buyers, who are widely known for their passionate sports fandom, looking to relocate to the UK, they will be searching for the best spots to call home and they should look no further than Wembley.
Known for its world-renowned music and sporting venue, Wembley Stadium, it is the perfect spot for sports lovers.
This year alone the Stadium is set to host both the men’s and women’s FA Cup Finals, the ABK Beer Rugby League Ashes, and will even see the return of the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team.
If you don’t have tickets, Boxpark Wembley has a whole host of screens showing sports, including Champions League and Premier League football matches. Feed The Yak! has also just opened its Wembley branch, serving craft beers, live sports on screens and food collaborations with different outlets.
And if that wasn’t enough, Wembley Stadium is this year hosting the very best of American and British music. This includes Lana Del Rey, who is aptly performing on American Independence Day, otherwise known as the Fourth of July, as well as Guns N’ Roses, Coldplay, Dua Lipa and the long-awaited Oasis reunion.
