We are delighted to announce that Prince of Wales Drive, by St William, has been recognized at the BEST Awards 2017.
The BEST stands for Business and Education Succeeding together, a charity organisation that were established 24 years ago. BEST awards are for work experience and recognise young people who did particularly well on their work experience, either nominated by employers or schools.
They work with Wandsworth Council - Lifelong Learning Department and together act as a bridge between schools and the world of work.
Work experience is a major part of their work and place about 1300 young people aged 14-19 on work experience every year.
Prince of Wales Drive, Battersea SW11 was recognised for their help in inspiring young people to meet their full potential. They felt St William have been very helpful and gone out of the way to accommodate work experience & site visits.
Danielle Buckley the Employment and Future Opportunities Co-ordinator for St William comments,
"St William are passionate about supporting and educating young people entering the world of work for the first time. It is important that we play a part in ensuring they understand what roles are available on a construction development to break the standard stereotypes of only trade roles work in construction. Winning this award highlighted the work we are doing in Wandsworth borough is making a positive impact on the young people and our partnerships with the schools in the borough are beneficial one."
