Berkeley has once again been pleased to sponsor an award at the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2024, highlighting the exceptional contribution of local businesses and organisations in the Borough.
This was an important occasion to support our local partners and stakeholders as part of our outreach work with local businesses across our developments at Royal Arsenal Riverside, Kidbrooke Village and Lombard Square.
There were 14 awards presented, with Berkeley sponsoring one of two new categories - Best Entrepreneur Over 30 Award. Our Development Director Paul Prichard had the pleasure of presenting this award to Brooklyn Banjoko from Inclusive Stories Ltd.
Also winners of the overall Business of the Year Award 2024, Inclusive Stories is a unique subscription service that provides diverse and inclusive original books and sensory toys for children of all abilities. Brooklyn is the proud mother of two children on the autistic spectrum and came up with this business idea through her experiences raising them.

Development Director Paul Prichard said, “As a significant employer in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, it is so important for us to support the Council in recognising the inspirational and innovative business stories here. Congratulations to all of the award winners but especially Brooklyn, a local heroine who makes a real impact on the lives of those in need.”
Berkeley attended the ceremony alongside one of our local charity partners, Woolwich Service User Project (WSUP), who support people who are going through, or are at risk of, poverty, homelessness, addiction and any other life challenges. WSUP were also successful at the ceremony, winning the Health and Wellbeing Award, which recognised businesses who have had a proven and significant positive impact on the wellbeing of its workforce, clients and the local community.
