Slough Borough Council and Berkeley have come together to celebrate a major milestone in the ambitious regeneration of the historic Horlicks Quarter in Slough, with the illumination of the iconic red Horlicks lettering on the top of the Factory building.
Red lettering is synonymous with the site, with the original installation topping the factory for more than a century.
With all the factory residents’ facilities now complete, local councillors were given a tour of The Atrium, co-working studio and roof terrace.
A centerpiece of the refurbished factory is the new atrium where the removal of the core of the building has enabled Berkeley to incorporate a full height space within the heart of the factory. Within this space dual aspect apartments across multiple floors - with each featuring floating walkways with retained exposed steels. The walkways allow the residents to overlook the stunning internal gardens below, whilst sunlight from the new glass roof above floods the space with light. An internal glass elevator creates a sense of drama allowing all residents to enjoy the view, as they travel up to the roof top terrace.
The new co-working studio is located in the top of the historic clock tower, providing a fantastic space to enable residents to work from home in the company of others. This space is accessed via the magnificent roof terrace gardens which affords panoramic views towards Windsor Castle.
