London Dock, Wapping

Two hundred years ago, this was one of the busiest trading hubs in the world.

Today, it is being transformed into an exciting new neighbourhood with circa 1,800 homes and 6 acres of landscaped public spaces including a new civic square and pedestrianised street.

At the heart of London Dock is the Grade II listed Pennington Street Warehouse. This is set to become the commercial and cultural heart of the community and a major new attraction for Wapping. It is being opened up to the public for the first time in its history and brought to life with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and offices, as well as events and activities which draw people in from across the wider area.

The London Dock Community Fund was launched in 2015 and has already seen £54,000 awarded to 31 local projects. This runs alongside our Community Plan which connects and empowers the residents.
