Highwood, Horsham

This handsome new part of Horsham will include more than 1,000 beautifully designed homes set within a meandering network of traditional streets, waterways, green open spaces and revived natural habitats.

A village green, village square, community centre and children's playground will provide the spaces for people to come together and four new bridges connect this new part of the town with its surroundings. A BMX track, allotments, sports pitches, a basketball court and a network of cycle and walking routes will draw people in and give residents of all ages the chance to enjoy the great outdoors.

Berkeley's Community Plan has been bringing neighbours together, with summer barbeques and Christmas carol concerts lighting up the village green. The beautifully designed Highwood Mill Extra Care home is another venue for regular tea parties and get-togethers for the whole community. An energetic Neighbourhood Watch Association has now taken shape with residents taking an ever more active role in community life.
