In 2025 Berkeley embarked on a six-month skills programme for young black women in Southwark, with charity Milk Honey Bees.
The pilot was designed to support and empower 16-18 year olds, exposing them to careers in the built environment, and giving them practical support on how to prepare for the world of work.
Now hear directly from the graduates of the course on how it has impacted them and helped them to plan their next move into learning or employment.
Berkeley’s team also offers insights into the importance of the programme, and the wider investment in skills and training in Southwark around major regeneration sites in the borough.
