First showhome unveiled for the new Fulham address, with a unique interiors concept by Nick Auston featuring locally sourced furnishings.
May 2021
This summer, St William, the joint venture between National Grid and the Berkeley Group, will be unveiling the first interactive showhome at King's Road Park in Fulham - inspired by the local area's best of British brands.
Renowned design studio, Nick Auston Design, has created the bespoke interiors concept, with many of the furnishings sourced from local designers and suppliers - displaying an eclectic mix of longstanding local boutiques alongside prominent global retailers.
In addition, the apartment brings a new dimension to the showhome concept, with innovative software that allows potential purchases to interact with items in the showhome, whether visiting in person or virtually. This unique technology offers an in-depth insight into the property, its interiors and the vision for King's Road Park.
QR codes and Near Field Communication (NFC) - technology more commonly used in hospitality and retail - gives visitors and prospective buyers' access to an exclusive virtual directory. This offers visitors a further level of insight into the design inspiration, furnishings and build process, as well as the level of quality and craftsmanship found in each home at King's Road Park.
King's Road Park will be a new landscape-led neighbourhood just 60 metres from the King's Road. Once complete, it will comprise more than 1,800 high quality homes and 23,000 sq ft of exceptional residents' facilities alongside a considered mix of restaurants, bars and offices set within six acres, including a public park, central square and residents' garden, which take inspiration from classic English country gardens.
Showcasing south west London's creative designers
St William and Nick Auston's approach to the showhome is also designed to support local business, both celebrating and supporting this historic design quarter of the capital, with many of the furnishings sourced from within the immediate area.
An area famous for design and creativity, King's Road Park sits on the doorstep of the iconic King's Road, Lots Road and Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour - all of which have provided a rich source of inspiration for the show home's interiors.
Nick Auston has carefully curated a selection of local retailers to furnish the apartment, each handpicked to highlight the best of the area's design brands, including Timothy Oulton, The Rug Company and Bespoke Sofa London. Key design pieces include a table lamp inspired by the site's industrial heritage, selected from Porta Romana, a luxury brand specialising in local craftsmanship, located at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.
Bringing greenery into the apartment, a selection of plants have been sourced from south west London favourite, The Chelsea Gardener.
An Interactive Experience
The approach to the showhome has been uniquely developed to deliver an interactive design that offers visitors the chance to find out more about King's Road Park, as well as the local retailers and suppliers showcased in the apartment.
QR codes and NFC tags - a contactless technology that transfers information to and from a mobile phone - bring a fresh approach to experiencing the project and its first property.
Placed throughout the showhome, tags offer insights across three key themes, including 'Did you know?', giving insights into the creation of King's Road Park, and 'Build and Technology', providing interesting facts and unseen details that illustrate the quality found within each property. The 'Specification & Furniture' theme takes visitors behind the scenes of the design and selected soft furnishings, putting a spotlight on local design talent. Direct links to supplier websites also allows interested parties to find out more about the product.
From anywhere in the world, potential buyers can also view the King's Road Park 360-degree digital tour of the showhome with easy access to the virtual tags.
A New Landscape-led Neighbourhood
The sustainable new neighbourhood will offer a beautifully appointed range of suites, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses, each boasting a private terrace or balcony and many with views across the surrounding landscaping.
Alongside extensive public green spaces, residents of the first phase at King's Road Park have access to a private courtyard garden with formal lawns, ornamental water feature and maze, along with a knot garden, seating areas, and lounge with atrium and dedicated Wi-Fi-enabled outdoor workspaces.
EPR Architects - the architects and interior designers behind the iconic Rosewood London and The Ned - has created a lavish suite of amenities for the residents of King's Road Park, which, at 23,000 sq. ft, is set to be one of the largest in the capital.
Inspired by the world's finest private members' clubs, the lifestyle offering features a health and wellbeing suite with 25m swimming pool, a vitality pool, steam room and sauna, a spacious gym with two fitness studios, and two treatment rooms. Alongside, entertainment facilities include a virtual games room incorporating virtual golf, retro games room with pool table, two cinema rooms and a private dining room.
The facilities also encompass a range of working from home spaces, including two dedicated meeting rooms and a study room, while a residents' lounge - a large, bright atrium at the centre of the facilities - features a bar with secluded booths and banquette seating.
