St James launches exclusive Skyline Collection at iconic scheme on Albert Embankment
October 2016
Design-conscious developer St James has launched the Skyline Collection at The Corniche: a premium range of just seven luxury apartments that mark the final release of homes at its iconic scheme on Albert Embankment.
With 95% of The Corniche now sold, the release of the final collection of apartments signals the last chance to buy at the landmark scheme designed by Foster + Partners, and highlights the exceptional demand to live in central London's newest prime waterfront address.
The new homes form a significant part of St James' wider regeneration of Albert Embankmentthat comprises a trio of schemes, including Merano Residences and The Dumont. Once complete, that developments will transform the stretch along the Thames into a thriving mixed-use destination that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
The launch of the homes coincides with the unveiling of a new sales and marketing suite at the scheme: the very first opportunity for buyers to experience life at The Corniche since construction began in 2013.
Final chapter at The Corniche
The scheme commands a unique setting on the bend of the Thames that maximises the extraordinary river aspects, stretching from Battersea Power Station to the Houses of Parliament. Designed around the perfect view, each home features elegantly curved floor-to-ceiling glazing that further enhances the spectacular cinemascope perspectives of the skyline.
The new release of contemporary residences offer substantial and well-proportioned living spaces, comprising three ensuite bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and living area. Each home enjoys at least one spacious balcony set within the curved bays of the building, providing a seamless extension of the internal spaces.
Designed by celebrated interior design practice Goddard Littlefair, the homes showcase the highest standards in craftsmanship that truly set the benchmark for luxury living. Featuring a host of leading brands including Miele, Dornbracht, and Vileroy and Boch, the interiors combine contemporary appliances with a sophisticated palette of natural stone, timber and polished chrome to achieve a luxurious finish befitting of the location.
One of a kind
A new marker for the South Bank, the scheme's highly innovative design takes inspiration from its waterside setting, with the curvature of the prominent bays echoing the form of a yacht. The building's contemporary façade comprises a subtle mix of grey metal, glass and pale concrete, achieving a calming quality that mirrors the soft ripples of the river.
The scheme is introducing 252 apartments in total, spread across three distinctive buildings ranging from 15-27 storeys in height. The landmark development presents a dynamic contrast to the architectural styles of Merano Residences (Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners) and The Dumont (David Walker Architects), yet together will form a striking new skyline for one of the most iconic stretches of the Thames.
Five-star living
The Corniche provides residents will a range of five-star amenities that are a highly sought-after asset in central London living. A stylish Skyline club lounge on the 19th floor provides a space to relax and socialise against the backdrop of the city, while a health and wellness facility offers the luxuries of an infinity pool, spa and gym. Residents benefit from a 24-hour concierge service as well as access to a cinema room and entertainment suite in neighbouring building - The Dumont. Secure basement parking is also provided.
A landmark address
Regarded as central London's last riverside regeneration area, Albert Embankment plays an integral role in extending the South Bank's thriving cultural scene along to Battersea. Spanning approximately 1.6 acres, over 50% of the site will comprise thoughtfully-designed public realm that features a series of cultural commissions and interactive art installations, demonstrating St James' commitment to placemaking and design-led regeneration.
The area's commercial hub, named Albert Embankment Plaza, will offer high quality office, retail and restaurant space, and introduce a new social and cultural destination where residents and their guests, office workers and visitors come to relax, socialise, work and play.
