St George, London's leading mixed use developer, is delighted to announce the official opening of Heritage Avenue, Beaufort Park, by Cllr Richard Barnes AM, Deputy Mayor of London.
The event, hosted by award winning developers St George, was held at Beaufort Park, London NW9 on Friday 27th June and attended by representatives from the London Borough of Barnet, key stakeholders and commercial operators.
Beaufort Park, North West London's most exciting new mixed-use development, incorporates a wide range of differing types of homes set amongst shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities surrounded by tree-lined boulevards and landscaped parkland.
The development will feature approximately 2,800 new homes, bringing much needed high quality housing to this area of London, along with 85,000 sq ft of commercial accommodation, transforming the once redundant 25 acre RAF aerodrome into a thriving new community. Commercial occupiers already located on the development include a Tesco Express convenience store, stunning new Young's bar and restaurant, Bright Horizons Childcare and Education Centre and a Nationwide ATM.
New neighbourhood facilities are located on the tree-lined arterial route, including the Estate Management Suite, residents' gym; Gym & Tonic, and the community Business Centre. The Beaufort Park Business Centre offers flexible accommodation for residents', businesses and the local community, which can be used for a variety of purposes such as meetings and events.
Ross Faragher, Managing Director, St George Central London commented: "We are delighted to celebrate the official opening of Heritage Avenue as this represents one further milestone at Beaufort Park; a development which is already complemented by a number of key commercial occupiers and new neighbourhood facilities."
Cllr Richard Barnes AM, Deputy Mayor of London commented: "Beaufort Park is a great scheme, that is bringing 25-acres of brownfield land to provide new neighbourhood facilities and much needed new homes for Barnet. I see this approach to regeneration in London as the way forward."
The Worshipful The Mayor of the London Borough of Barnet, Cllr Marshall commented; "I would like to thank Councillor Barnes for formally opening Heritage Avenue where the first commercial operators are now serving this neighbourhood."
Cllr Hillan, Cabinet member for Community Services, commented; "The opening of Heritage Avenue at Beaufort Park provides an important new link across the area. This makes the new commercial facilities available to the wider community. I am pleased to see Beaufort Park continuing to lead the major regeneration of the Colindale area. This is a very important mixed use development for Barnet and wish it continuing success for the future."
