Rob is Chief Executive of the Berkeley Group. He joined in 1994, was appointed to the Main Board in 2001 and became Chief Executive in 2009.

A year later Rob launched 'Our Vision', a long term strategy which challenges Berkeley to become a world class business with a positive social impact. This evolving plan drives the company to create exceptional homes, strengthen communities and achieve the highest standards of environmental sustainability.

During this time, Berkeley has become the industry leader in complex brownfield regeneration and sustained customer satisfaction scores on par with the most respected brands in the country.

The company has delivered carbon positive building operations since 2018 and is committed to creating a net gain in biodiversity on every new site. This ground-breaking nature recovery initiative has been praised by Government and is set to become a national requirement for all housing developments.

Rob is passionate about Berkeley's social purpose and is Chair of Trustees of the Berkeley Foundation. This independent grant making charity focuses the unique expertise, resources and fundraising efforts of the Berkeley Group on supporting disadvantaged young people in greatest need.

He is a Trustee of homelessness charity Crisis, a member of the Bank of England's Residential Property Forum and sits on the governing body of Aston University and Wellington College.
