Winterbrook Meadows Highlights Forces Help to Buy Scheme at RAF Families Day
The Winterbrook Meadows team at Berkeley recently attended RAF Families Day in Benson, a 9-minute drive from Winterbrook Meadows, where they met serving personnel and their families to discuss homeownership opportunities at Winterbrook Meadows and the support available through the Forces Help to Buy scheme.
The event brought together members of the local Armed Forces community for a day of activities, information and support. It provided an opportunity for the team to speak directly with families about their future housing aspirations and share guidance on the support available to those looking to purchase a home.
What is the Forces Help to Buy Scheme?
The Forces Help to Buy scheme is a government-back initiative allowing armed forces personnel to borrow up to 50% of their salary, up to a maximum of £25,000 interest free towards the purchase of a property.[1]
The team promoted the Forces Help to Buy scheme, which can provide eligible serving personnel with an interest-free loan of up to £25,000 to support a home purchase*. The scheme is designed to help more members of the Armed Forces take their next step towards homeownership and put down roots in the communities where they live and work.
