5 Interior Design Trends for 2025

In our video, showhome designer Una Barac reveals the defining trends to embrace this year for a sophisticated interior that will stand the test of time.

The best interior design trends will not only look good now but will still do in years to come, believes Una Barac, Executive Director of Atellior, an architecture and interior design studio. “For us, it’s all about quiet confidence and sophisticated luxury.”

Atellior has worked with Berkeley Group for over two decades, including designing the stunning showhome at Jade Wharf, London Dock in Wapping, where we filmed the video below. “What really sets Berkeley Group apart is a benchmark of quality and the way that they encourage us to set trends with them,” says Una.

Inspiration for interiors comes from several places, says Una. “It’s about immersing yourself in every aspect of design, from beautiful hotels and restaurants to the way people display food and the fashion they wear.”

What will luxury interiors look like in 2025? Watch our video as Una unveils these 5 key interior trends:

  1. Layering Luxury – interior design is embracing texture, with panelling and tactile fabric wallpapers poised to be major trends.
  2. Statement Stoneware – natural stone tables are in vogue, with both honed and polished finishes.
  3. Grown-Up Colours – look out for sophisticated shades such as rich burgundy, mustard and burnt orange.
  4. Connecting to Nature – bring the natural world closer with plants and preserved flowers.
  5. Enduring Quality – look for longevity with sturdy, solid and handcrafted pieces.

5 Interior Design Trends for 2025 – video transcript

Our ethos is to create designs that not only look good now but will still do in years to come. I'm Una Barac, Executive Director at Artelior. We've worked with Berkeley Group designing show homes for over 2 decades and they're definitely trendsetters. I'm going to talk about the interior design trends to embrace in 2025 for a sophisticated, balanced look.

Layering Luxury

 Panelling at Jade Wharf

Paneling is an ingenious way to create texture and a layer of luxury.

As soon as you enter the Showhome at London Dock, the striking jadeite marble wall adds another dimension to the space. Wood panelling and fabric wallpaper panels make rooms feel warm, tactile and inviting. We love three-dimensional artworks too. These gold-leaf butterflies create a wall sculpture, bringing a delicate touch to the room.

Statement Stoneware

Stoneware tables are simply stunning. We've chosen to use a blend of polished and honed finishes, which feel soft, smooth and velvety.  The honed black granite and cashmere white granite tables at London Dock give a quiet luxury feel.

Grown-up Colours

Bold colours are still popular, but we're seeing a more grown-up palette of rich burgundies, pops and bustard and burnt orange in Barkley Group's show homes. These shades add personality while remaining timeless and sophisticated.

Connecting to Nature

Biophilic design at Jade Wharf London Dock

Biophilic design, which is about connecting to the natural world, is a trend that is not going away as we seek to make our homes soothing spaces. Incorporating plants and preserved flowers is an easy way to do this. Houseplants help purify the air and have a positive impact on well-being.

Enduring Quality

Finally, long-lasting quality never goes out of fashion, such as these burnt oak sculptural dining chairs at London Dock. Sturdy, handcrafted pieces made from responsibly sourced materials will stand the test of time.
