Couple Finds Love at Holborough Lakes

It was love at first sight for Keeran Beebeejaun, 28, and his fiancé Sandy Gill, 29, after their impromptu visit to the Berkeley Homes Holborough Lakes development in Snodland, Kent. The two were on their way to a friend's birthday BBQ when they saw a sign for the newly developed community and decided to take a pit stop.

Keeran explains: "We had been to see another development, but were not totally blown away as it lacked something we just couldn't quite put our finger on. However the moment we saw Holborough Lakes we knew we wanted to live there."

"We had a good look round and the setting is truly stunning there. The homes are set amongst lots of parkland and greenery set around a beautiful lake.

"We were really impressed with the design of the apartment we chose; the rooms are a lovely size. It comes with so many things included in the price - all the carpets, a fully fitted kitchen with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and fitted wardrobes in our bedroom. It is also so handy having a gym and M&S on our doorstep, but the fact that the apartment overlooks the lake was really the icing on the cake".

Sandy added, "Keeran and I went for a walk by the lake after our second site visit, and that is when he asked me to marry him. It was a complete surprise, but lovely that he asked me right where we have bought our first home together."
The couple paid £247,500 for their spacious two-bedroom apartment using the Help to Buy scheme. They are due to move in at the end of March, allowing plenty of time to plan for their upcoming wedding in December.

Once they are settled in, the two look forward to being involved in the Holborough Lakes community and taking advantage of the private residents' gym, the village hall offering exercise classes, and the sprawling village green with a trim trail.

Holborough Lakes is a collection of houses and apartments set in acres of parkland around a series of freshwater lakes in the heart of Kent. In addition to a new school, other facilities at the development include an onsite crèche, residents' gym, village green, village hall and two trim trails leading down to the lake. There is also a water sports and diving school which offers courses on a range of activities including open water swimming, canoeing and scuba diving.

Parkside is brand new phase of family homes at Holborough Lakes due to launch off plan in March '16. Enjoying a prime location situated close to the village green, this stunning new collection of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, will be positioned between the trim trails and activity paths which lead down to the lakeside.

Finished to a high specification, properties at Holborough Lakes are an attractive option for first time buyers, families and downsizers searching for excellent value for money, quality homes and good transport links.
