Things to do in Hendon

This bustling and vibrant area of North London has great connections to the best that the capital has to offer, with King’s Cross just 19 minutes away and Oxford Street only 25 minutes away, putting the likes of Hyde Park, London Zoo, the West End and Camden Market all within just half an hour of your front door.

But you don’t even need to go that far, with amazing green spaces within reach, including the Welsh Harp reservoir, Golders Hill Park and Hampstead Heath. 

Most notably, Brent Cross Shopping Centre (London’s first enclosed shopping centre) is just a short drive away with more than 120 stores plus lots of events, including a beach during the summer months.

For outdoor activities, the Silkstream Park Tennis and Metro Golf Centre are both nearby while local parks include Fryent Country Park, Sunny Hill Park, and Silkstream Park, all of which are great for families.

Hendon is situated between two of the Mayor of London’s key growth projects, with increased connectivity coming through a new Thameslink Station at Brent Cross West, due for completion in December 2022 and a major expansion underway at the shopping centre.
