This new community has been born on the site of a 1980s office complex with 457 new homes and a network of new public spaces and footpaths.
A café and children's sculpture play park invite people in from Queenstown Road and a flexible outdoor space hosts community events where neighbours can mix and meet. Residents have been quick to embrace the Vista Community Plan, forming a Residents' Association, Social Committee and launching a Facebook group where they chat, swap ideas and raise local issues. This growing digital community has more than 200 members and is helping to form clubs and arrange get-togethers.
Vista will also provide five years of rent- free office and training space for Wandsworth Council's local recruitment service which helps unemployed borough residents to find work or training.
