St George launch Riverside Pontoon at prestigious Fulham Reach development

St George, London's leading mixed use developer, has launched the new Riverside Pontoon at Fulham Reach, W6, on Friday 16 November 2012.

At an event attended by Directors of St George, Cllr Peter Graham and a selection of rowers from the renowned Latymer Upper School, the opening of the brand new 25 metre pontoon will offer residents and the local community alike the opportunity to enjoy everything that the River Thames has to offer from rowing, kayaking or simply to enjoy the breathtaking views that this picturesque location provides.

Residents of Fulham Reach will be able to enjoy the benefits of membership of a private lifestyle club with access to facilities including a state of the art gymnasium, swimming pool, spa, private screening room, wine cellar, snooker room and golf simulator.

The area around Fulham Reach is also famous for its famous residents. King Charles II was a frequent visitor to the area, while William Morris, founder of the Arts and Crafts Movement moved here in 1879. Mahatma Gandhi lived in Fulham when he studied law at University College, London. And Gustav Holst, the English composer of the famous orchestral suite, The Planets, was also a resident for most of his life.

London Youth Rowing design inspiring programmes to help participants improve their fitness, make new friends, and enter competitions either as individuals or as part of a team. They offer the highest standards of coaching and encouragement for all, and have performance coaches to develop the most talented to the highest levels.

London Youth Rowing are currently working with 130 schools in the London area, and 20 clubs. Last year over 7,000 participants took part in our programmes or activities, including over 250 young people with disabilities. With the success of the Row East London Olympic legacy initiative, now in its fourth year, the aim is to expand the model further afield, and continue to increase the number of young people regularly participating in our programmes
