Mr Ezquerro-Canete, 19, a student living locally with his parents in Cricklewood has been bought a two bedroom apartment by his parents as a first step onto the property ladder. His father, commented, "These days it can be very hard for young people to get onto the property ladder and we were delighted to have been able to support him whilst at University, after which he will take responsibility for the apartment. Beaufort Park will become an enjoyable new community which was a decisive factor. We have also purchased a second property for our other son and will let this while he finishes his education."
Mr Brown and family bought a two bedroom apartment at Beaufort Park through the Government's new First Time Buyer's Initiative. The couple, both local postal workers previously lived locally with parents and have two small children and commented: "When we first heard about the new initiative for first time buyers, we were delighted to qualify, and purchase a new home, which we could otherwise not afford. We all love the development and could not wait to move in. It's a dream come true."
Councillor Hillan, added "I am delighted that this great scheme in the London Borough of Barnet [Beaufort Park] has attracted a range of people, especially those with children who find it most difficult to gain access to the housing ladder in a place like Barnet with high and rising house prices."
