The flowers are blooming in Central Gardens so come and enjoy the summer sun in the park!
We had an enjoyable evening at the Planning Awards last Thursday 9 June, where The Green Quarter was highly commended in the planning for the natural environment category.
This award acknowledges professional planning work that improves or protects the natural world. This is at the heart of our aspirations at The Green Quarter, where we’re aiming to create one of the most biodiverse developments in the UK and delivering or opening up access to more green space than St James’ Park and Green Park combined.
This includes Central Gardens, which is already open, and 8 acres of wetlands which will be delivered the future. We’re working with biodiversity experts the London Wildlife Trust to design our green spaces in a way that maximises nature recovery and encourages new wildlife to flourish.
The Planning Awards brings together the most senior and influential planning professionals from across the sector to recognise and celebrate excellence, shining a spotlight on the standout projects from the past year.
