Berkeley Group was crowned Housebuilder of the Year at the 2022 WhatHouse? Awards in November, the highest honour at the annual industry event.
Berkeley Group was also named Best Large Housebuilder, and picked up gold awards for three of its major regeneration sites:
- Best Regeneration – White City Living
- Best Public Realm – Hartland Village
- Best Development – Chelsea Creek
All three projects are transforming brownfield land, creating sustainable neighbourhoods with thousands of new homes, open spaces and community amenities.
Chelsea Creek also took bronze in the public realm category.
Hartland Village was praised for putting community engagement at its heart, while White City Living was highlighted as a “shining example of how regeneration can improve the quality of life for local people.”

To win a What House? trophy is a fantastic recognition for our hardworking teams and a great way to round off the year and start the festive season. We’re incredibly proud of the commitment of our staff, to deliver not only high quality, beautiful new homes and places but outstanding customer service and community engagement too. These awards provide valuable, credible third-party recognition which is incredibly valuable to our customers, supporting our sales and marketing strategies and bringing pride and delight to our existing residents.
