From the North Pole to Bracknell, Father Christmas is set to team up with pals including an elf, a reindeer and a snowman on Christmas morning to deliver gifts from his sleigh to children at Berkeley Homes' Woodhurst Park development in the village of Warfield.
Revealing his identity as Brian Pettifer, a grandad of three who lives at the development, the secret Santa will give up his Christmas morning to spread some festive cheer amongst families in his community.
Since tragically losing his wife to cancer, the festive period has never been the same for Brian, who wanted to bring some sparkle back to the big day. He decided to dedicate his time to making others smile. Parents can donate presents to Santa who will hand deliver the special gifts to children on the day.
Brian, who is a member of the development's residents' association, commented: "When you lose a loved one, the heart of Christmas Day disappears. Christmas had to change for me and this is my way of keeping the community spirit alive. Life has been hard for everyone this year so it's even more important to keep morale up.
"To date we have 50 children from 39 families signed up to take part this year. It makes my morning to see smiling faces and family enjoyment. One neighbour said if we have any more sign-ups we might have to start after midnight mass!"
