St George, London's leading developer, announces that Tonkotsu, the established Japanese Ramen bar and restaurant, has opened at Dickens Yard, Ealing.
Tonkotsu is a renowned restaurant brand which specialises in serving expertly-made Ramen, hand-crafted daily by a dedicated team of chefs using authentic techniques from Japan. Timing and precision is paramount in the making of Tonkotsu ramen with the signature stock made from scratch every morning, whilst the fresh noodles are made using mid-century machines imported from Japan to create unique characteristics which complement the different stock flavours.
Dickens Yard marks the 11th restaurant for Tonkotsu following a wave of success in recent years with openings across London and in Birmingham.
Steve Kirwan, Operations Director, St George West London, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Tonkotsu to Dickens Yard. The brand has a unique offering which will add to the variety of culture, lifestyle and gastronomy in the neighbourhood.
"It's an exciting time in Ealing with a fantastic array of new shops, restaurants and lifestyle brands set to open at Dickens Yard and the opening of Tonkotsu is an important part of our strategy to create a vibrant destination for West London."
Stephen Evans, Managing Director, Tonkotsu, said:
"With the creation of Dickens Yard and the opening of Crossrail, Ealing has further strengthened its position as a busy, cosmopolitan centre and one we are proud to be part of."
With 700 new homes, public spaces and a range of new shops and restaurants, Dickens Yard is a thrilling lifestyle quarter in the heart of Ealing. Tonkotsu is the latest brand to open at Dickens Yard, following recent openings by Pasta Remoli, No. 17 Dickens Yard, Blo Bar, Kumon and GAIL's Bakery adding to the vibrant mix which includes Triyoga, Charlotte's W5, and Benham & Reeves.
Dickens Yard is playing a significant role in the wider regeneration of Ealing ahead of the arrival of the Elizabeth Line at Ealing Broadway station. The expanded frequency of the Elizabeth line will see commutes reduced and journeys made easier via new, high-capacity trains. The new station will halve journey times to central London, with travel to Bond Street in 11 minutes, Liverpool Street in 18 minutes and Canary Wharf in 25 minutes. Heathrow Airport terminals two and three will be just 14 minutes away via the new line.
