Pupils from across the school joined together with teachers and staff for a festive 'funky Friday'.
As its nearby residential development, Ryewood, nears completion, Berkeley carried out improvements at the school, near Sevenoaks, as part of its work with the local community.
Berkeley, supported by their contractors, has undertaken a variety of refurbishments, including improvements to external paving, washroom facilities and staffroom carpets, while aspects such as the roof and guttering have also been updated. Additionally, the team have built new storage units, and a pergola in the grounds for pupils to enjoy throughout the year.
Tracey Boanas, head teacher at Dunton Green Primary School said, "We are thrilled with the fantastic work that Berkeley has completed, and we're already making use of our newly refurbished facilities, not least with our 'funky Friday'. It has made a huge difference to the pupils and staff, and has enabled us all to work and learn in a much-improved environment."
Peter Smith, managing director, Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties, comments, "We have been part of the Dunton Green community for six years, with our development of homes at Ryewood, and it is important to us to play a part and give back where it matters most. At the heart of Dunton Green, the primary school has a central role in the area and, with Ryewood nearing its final stages, we are glad to contribute to the legacy of this great community."
Berkeley's award-winning development, Ryewood, is creating a new community near Dunton Green station. With over 70 per cent the development now occupied, the final apartments and family houses have now been released, priced from £330,000.
Surrounded by the scenic lakes and greenery of the expansive Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, homes at Ryewood are located within elegantly landscaped grounds with children's play areas, water features and open spaces. For further information visit www.ryewood.co.uk or call 01732 740 402 .
