St George, London's leading mixed-use developer, has sponsored the fourth annual Chairman's Summer Garden Party in Fulham. The popular event will be hosted by Dr Richard Charrtres KCVO, Bishop of London, from 6-8pm on Wednesday, 6th July 2016 at the Historic Walled Garden at Fulham Palace. Tim Ingram, Chairman of Fulham Palace will also be in attendance.
The annual celebration will provide an opportunity for 200 guests, including local residents, representatives from nearby businesses and trustees from supporting foundations, to socialise in a beautiful garden setting and enjoy live jazz music.
One of the earliest historic powerhouses along the River Thames, Fulham Palace was once the summer residence of the Bishops of London. The annual Garden Party is aimed at supporting and boosting Fulham Palace's current restoration appeal.
The Palace is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation scheme to restore the Tudor Quadrangle, Great Hall and gardens to their former splendor, with significant support from the Heritage Lottery Fund to the value of £2m.
Matt Bostock, Managing Director, St George Developments Ltd commented:
"We are delighted to be able to sponsor the Chairman's Summer Garden Party, and support the restoration of this remarkable heritage site. The majority of St George developments are located close to sites of prime historical value, and we recognise the importance of preserving these vital landmarks for future generations to enjoy."
Fulham Palace is situated in close proximity to the prestigious Fulham Reach development by St George. The award-winning development offers a collection of elegant two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, on one of the most dramatic stretches of the River Thames with views that stretch across to Hammersmith Bridge and beyond.
