STANMORE PLACE CREATES LOVE NEST FOR NEWLYWEDS
Getting married and finding the perfect home to begin married life can be two of the most expensive and life changing steps a young couple will face.
But for Milan Dave, and his fiancée, their dreams of embarking on married life with a home of their own will come true, thanks to the low deposit Help to Buy scheme at the award-winning north London development, Stanmore Place.
The couple, who are currently living apart, desperately wanted to begin the next chapter of their lives with a home of their own, but with a wedding to plan and pay for, their dream of home ownership prior to their wedding was moving further and further out of reach.
It wasn't until Milan, a 26-year-old management consultant, discovered that Help to Buy was available at St Edward's desirable Stanmore Place that everything fell into place. With friends living in the local area and the development providing all of the convenience and luxury a new build home affords, Milan realised that the couple had found the perfect solution.
Milan Dave said: "I was aware of Stanmore before I made the decision to live here. I have a lot of family around the area and it's a brilliant place to go out with friends, there are lots of great restaurants around."
"The idea of a new build home really appealed to us, we wanted somewhere we could move into straightaway. We found the quality of finishing and appliances at other apartments were not to the same standard that St Edward provides. Once you step into an apartment at Stanmore Place, there is a quality feel about it, one that we did not sense elsewhere, the granite worktops available, offered that extra touch, which greatly appealed to us."
Supported by Stanmore Place's outstanding quality and supportive team onsite, Milan and Chandni chose a brand new two-bedroom apartment to start their life together. Purchasing the apartment with just a 5% deposit thanks to Help to Buy, Milan, spoke highly of the opportunities the Government scheme has afforded him:
"We found the arrangement really useful. Chandni and I have some big commitments and Help to Buy eased the financial pressures we have. It allowed us to put some money into the property while continuing to plan our special day. Initially it was a little unnerving to seeing how different Help to Buy is from a normal mortgage but if you're organised with documentation it's not really a difficult process at all."
Help to Buy supports first time buyers and current home owners looking to move and enables potential occupants to secure their home at Stanmore Place with a deposit of£23,600. The initiative guarantees 20% of the house price as an equity loan that is repayable on the future sale of the property.
Having now purchased the new home ahead of his wedding in August, Milan is looking forward to settling into the new home, which the couple move in to, just six days after tying the knot.
As Milan and Chandni prepare to move in and count down to their big day, Milan remains convinced the award-winning north London development provided the ideal location he and his fiancée sought as a home and a social setting. Dave commented:
"We decided to buy a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. What attracted us most was the size of the kitchen dining and lounge area. We can see ourselves having a few friends over on weekends and the area is very spacious. We envisage having family over often as well, so they can now stay with us when it's convenient for them."
The array of amenities on-site for resident use was another attraction for the couple, who enjoy a wide range of interests. Stanmore Place's fully-equipped 24 hour gym and purpose-built Business and Innovation Centre combine work and leisure on-site. Personal trainers can be used for private sessions, while the Business and Innovation Centre provides offices and conference facilities. Dedicated staff also offer business support and investment networks for aspirational entrepreneurs.
Milan comments: "I enjoy exercising, playing football regularly and keeping fit. Obviously the gym is a big attraction too; it is very well-equipped and allows us to save on a gym membership fee elsewhere. My fiancée has a passion for business. She is full of ideas and regularly has a concept for a new company."
Once complete, Stanmore Place will comprise 798 one, two and three bedroom apartments. In February, St Edward launched Clement Court, the development's latest phase and addition to the thriving community at Stanmore Place. The phase launch has been met by great success, with over 60% of the homes already sold. Among Stanmore Place's greatest attractions are its highly acclaimed landscaped gardens and stunning feature lake, which have won prizes for their design and sustainability.
As well as providing a 24 hour concierge service and Zipcar car-share club, Stanmore Place is a 25 minute underground journey to Bond Street from the adjacent Canons Park station, and 40 minutes to Liverpool Street, where Mr Dave will work from April. The Jubilee Line also presents swift access to Westminster and Canary Wharf. Direct routes to the M1 and M25 allow for easy transport to Heathrow
and Luton airports.
Prices at Stanmore Place start from £450,000 for a two bedroom apartment. For more information please visit www.stanmoreplace.co.uk or call 020 8952 2853.
