DOUBLE AWARD WHAMMY FOR POPULAR NORTH WEST LONDON COMMUNITY
Stanmore Place, a thriving community of 798 new homes in the heart of north west London has won two accolades at the leading national property awards, What House?
The development, built by leading housebuilder St Edward, picked up a Silver Award for Best Development - placing the scheme amongst the very top two new developments in the country. Expert judges drawn from across the industry praised the design of Stanmore Place, noting how the site has been transformed into a successful and attractive scheme, providing much needed new homes for the area.
Judges also gave Stanmore Place the top accolade, the Gold Award, for Best Landscape Design in recognition of its acres of stunning landscaped gardens and a feature lake which also boasts a water feature and courtyards.
Stanmore Place competed against hundreds of residential schemes across the country to win the accolades, but has been no stranger to industry acclaim having previously won three awards for its beautifully designed gardens.
The awards come as Stanmore Place celebrates its fifth anniversary since launching and is now home to more than 700 residents.
Paul Vallone, Executive Chairman, St Edward, said: "We have taken great care to build a new community that the local area and residents can all be proud of. These latest awards are testament to the thoughtful design, skilled landscaping and community atmosphere at the development."
Stanmore Place was recognised as one of the top schemes in the Best Development category for its architecture, palette of materials and proximity to Canons Park tube station, which provides quick and easy access into central London.
The award-winning gardens, designed by Chartered Landscape Architects Fabrik, create a tranquil and stunning lakeside setting that can be enjoyed by residents across the development.
Stanmore Place's serene setting is accessed by a bridge over a feature lake and boasts several resident families of ducks, moorhens and freshwater fish. Water is a central theme at the development, which includes three impressive large fountains. The water features and landscape are brought to life in the evenings, with spectacular illumination lining the lakeside.
The development is renowned for its welcoming community feel, which is supported by a family friendly environment, providing cycle paths and a children's play area, as well as a resident's only gym and 24 hour concierge."
The development has fantastic transport links, located within easy walking distance of Canons Park underground station, which provides direct Jubilee line access to Baker Street, Bond Street, Westminster and Canary Wharf in approximately 46 minutes. Access to the M1 and M25 allows for easy transit to Heathrow and Luton airports.
