On Tuesday, 8th October, children from St Faith's Primary School in Wandsworth visited St George's Battersea Reach to participate in a careers day and safety talks event. 40 children over two days spent time taking part in a range of activities, including careers talks in the boardroom, spotting potential hazards on the building site and tours of the scheme by Ivor Goodsite, Battersea Reach's very own safety mascot.
Michael Bryn-Jones, Managing Director of St George, commented at the event saying: "We are delighted to have welcomed our neighbours from St Faith's Primary School to learn about the construction industry and to teach them how to spot potential health and safety risks.
"Here at Battersea Reach we are very lucky to have such fantastic schools within walking distance and an onsite, award winning, children's nursery. Days like these are important for the local community to see first-hand how St George has created a thriving new destination and rejuvenated the riverfront for all to enjoy."
