St George, the developer behind the Camberwell Grove development in SE5, has donated £1,000 to the St Giles Trust towards its latest community programme.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary year, the St Giles Trust is a leading UK charity, which works with ex-offenders to help them resettle and break the cycle of offending. The Trust offers practical support around issues such as housing, improving skills, employment opportunities and resettling into the community after prison.
Supported by local residents and businesses, the ongoing work of the charity has been recognised throughout London, most recently The Duke of Cambridge became the Charity's Patron in January 2012.
Mark Griffiths, Managing Director St George South London commented: ""We are very pleased to contribute to this worthwhile cause. The fundraising and ongoing community work that the St Giles Trust delivers is of paramount importance and St George remains committed to giving back to these important community programmes."
St Giles Trust's Chief Executive, Rob Owen said: "We are delighted that St George has given this contribution to the St Giles Trust. Through offering this generous donation, it will help some of the most excluded, disadvantaged people in society who really need support."
