MAYOR COMMENDS BEAUFORT PARK AT THE LONDON PLANNING AWARDS IN THE BEST NEW PLACE TO LIVE CATEGORY St George, London's leading mixed-use developer, announces that Beaufort Park has been awarded a commendation from the Mayor of London as 'The Best New Place to Live' at the London Planning Awards 2010/11.
In presenting the award on 20 January 2011, Sir Simon Milton, Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff, praised the regeneration of the 25 acre former RAF Hendon aerodrome as having been "carefully put together with many partners" and for "ticking all the boxes". He highlighted the extensive range of homes, which along with landscape parkland, resident's courtyards, shops, bars, restaurants, leisure and community facilities, create a new neighbourhood which has transformed this area of North West London within the London Borough of Barnet.
