St George is delighted to announce the launch of Streetcar, the innovative pay-as-you-go car club at Imperial Wharf, London SW6.
Streetcar, the UK's largest car club serving over 25,000 members, is the latest transport initiative to be incorporated at Imperial Wharf, with the highly acclaimed service now offering environmentally friendly and sustainable travel for residents and the local community.
Ross Faragher, Managing Director, St George Central London commented: "St George is committed to sustainable development and enhancing the quality of lives for people who live in and around our new communities. The eco-friendly streetcar car club is an important aspect of our green travel, integrated across all our developments, and are delighted to offer this initiative at Imperial Wharf."
Streetcar allows members to hire an eco-friendly Volkswagon Golf from as little as 30 minutes, to longer periods of up to 6 months, and only pay for the time that they actually use. Streetcar offers a successful alternative to private car ownership, reduces congestion and results in significant cost savings whilst also helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
Imperial Wharf, the award winning mixed-use development, is at the forefront of sustainable travel. The forthcoming opening of the Imperial Wharf train station will link Clapham Junction in the south and Willesden Junction in the north via West Brompton for the London Underground and Shepherds Bush for Westfield Shopping Centre. In addition, Imperial Wharf also benefits from an enhanced local bus service, incorporates cycle storage facilities and provides easy access to the river taxi service at Chelsea Harbour.
