St George is pleased to announce the success of the recent launch of the First-Time Buyers' Initiative (FTBI) at Beaufort Park, London NW9.
The scheme provided in association with English Partnerships, the national regeneration agency, is part of the Government's new initiative designed to make more affordable new homes available to qualifying first time buyers and key workers.
Michael Meanley, Managing Director of award winning developers St George comments: "We are delighted to be able to offer this initiative at Beaufort Park, bringing stylish, contemporary homes well within the reach of first-time buyers and key workers in London's ever-growing communities. An extremely high level of interest was received on the launch day, with prospective first time buyers queuing from early in the morning to apply and reserve a new home as part of this new initiative at Beaufort Park."
English Partnerships has confirmed the appointment of St George as one of the first developers to pilot its First-Time Buyers' Initiative. The FTBI enables aspiring first time buyers who cannot otherwise afford to buy a home outright to purchase, through an affordable mortgage, and with Government assistance, a new home. This means hard-pressed buyers can enjoy the benefits of home ownership but on a more affordable basis.
St George selected Beaufort Park, the ground breaking 25 acre mixed use development, to launch this pilot FTBI scheme. A high level of interest has been received with reservations made by first time buyers and key workers on all of the available 16 one and two bedroom apartments within the Alexander Apartment at Beaufort Park on Saturday 25th November 2006.
Beaufort Park offers a range of apartments including studio's, one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, situated on the historically important RAF Hendon Aerodrome site. The apartments themselves - many with balconies or terraces - provide spacious accommodation, high quality finishes and integral features which epitomise the phrase 'affordable luxury'. Residents will benefit from an array of cafés, shops and restaurants including a Young's pub and restaurant and Hudson's convenience store. A residents' gym, landscaped parkland, estate management, business centre and undercroft car parking are also included. The development is only a few minutes' walk from Colindale Underground station offering direct rail connections to the heart of London.
