Great Restaurants in London With Takeaway Options

At the moment, we're all trying to find ways to entertain ourselves at home and bring all the things we love about life directly into our living rooms. While you're able to flood your TV with blockbuster films and full back catalogues of binge-worthy shows, it is a bit more difficult to enjoy quality cuisine since we've been limited to our own home cooking for the most part.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel for foodies living in London though, as many fine dining restaurants across Soho, Mayfair and beyond have jumped back in the saddle to deliver top quality dishes directly to your door with the help of delivery apps like Supper and Deliveroo. We've complied a small selection of great restaurants to showcase what's on offer, but there are many more out there for you to sample if you fancy spicing up your date night with a dinner prepared by professional chefs.

Hakkasan

Sitting at the top of most London fine dining at home lists, Hakkasan has firmly established its Michelin star rating having earned its first star almost 20 years ago. If you're a regular when it comes to fine dining then Hakkasan is a name you've almost certainly heard, serving top-quality Oriental cuisine straight out of Soho to a wide range of clientele who all appreciate good food.

Although you're currently unable to sit in and enjoy traditional fine dining in their restaurant, you can now enjoy a fine dining experience at home as Hakkasan are offering a taste of their usual luxury fare which can be brought straight to you via either Deliveroo or Supper. If you've found something to celebrate during lockdown then why not sample their Dragon Menu, featuring all the classic dishes Hakkasan is known for and can handily serve four people.

HIDE

Another fine dining mainstay in Mayfair is HIDE, who specialise in giving a platform to the best of home-grown, British produce and create as many of the ingredients as possible in-house. For everything else, HIDE has a complete listing of their suppliers online so you can see exactly where every component of each dish originated within the UK, which is an interesting little detail for those who're interested in each dish's composition.

Although the doors to the treetop hideaway-esque restaurant remain closed for the foreseeable future, you can bring HIDE's contemporary cuisine into your own dining room with their introduction of HIDE at Home. You can order from HIDE provided you're within their 7 mile delivery radius and can choose from the available dishes for that day, alongside the option to pick from a selection of wines thanks to Hedonism and their handy sommelier who can help guide you to the ideal bottle which will complement each dish perfectly.

ASAP Pizza

While ASAP Pizza doesn't necessarily fall into the realm of fine dining, this new pizzeria on the scene comes from the minds behind the Michelin-starred Lyle's, as well as the wine bar and bakery Flor found in Borough Market, to bring a fine dining take to takeaway pizza. You'll find twists on traditional pizza toppings on offer, swapping in gourmet ingredients like cured pig's cheek for ham and pickled scotch bonnet to create some truly unique pizzas.

ASAP Pizza will be operating out of the Flor kitchen, with Click & Collect takeaway pizza on offer alongside delivery via Deliveroo, covering Kensington (which includes our Royal Warwick Squareand Kensington Row developments), London Bridge and Southwark. If you're just outside of their delivery range then don't worry, ASAP Pizza have promise that pizza kits are currently in development so you can enjoy high-end pizza pies at home soon.

Gymkhana

For the first time ever, Gymkhana are bringing their biggest fan favourite dishes to Deliveroo and Supper so you can enjoy the finest Indian cuisine from the comfort of your own sofa. Inspired by the clubs frequented by high society in India, where people would come to indulge in the finer things, Gymkhana earned its Michelin star back in 2014 and has held it with ease.

While you can mix and match from the menu of dishes currently available, Gymkhana have also created feasts for two, including a vegetarian option, so you can have a mini banquet all to yourselves which includes all the trimmings you'd want from a delicious Indian dinner. There's a full list of areas which are currently covered by Gymkhana's delivery radius, including Marylebone, Camden and King's Cross, but these may change during peak times so it's well worth securing your order sooner rather than later.

La Poule au Pot

If you're fancying some French cuisine then La Poule au Pot is on standby to serve up some fantastic dishes Wednesday to Saturday which you can collect directly from the restaurant. This classic Belgravia institution has been around since 1962, and is regularly voted "Best for Romance" in London restaurant guides, so why not bring that romantic ambience home and dine al fresco on some of La Poule au Pot's staple dishes.

Their takeaway menu features several stews and casseroles which make for satisfying comfort food, as well as its namesake poule au pot also being on offer to pick up and savour if and when the mood takes you. Just bear in mind that you'll need to place an order with them 24 hours in advance so they have time to prepare everything and ensure you can get your meal without any complications.

Good food has been a great way to lift spirits and add a little luxury to life for a long time, so why not grab a perfectly prepared meal and take a night off from the kitchen?
