There's nothing quite like heading into London to see a show to get you in the festive sprit this December. The Nutcracker

The sensational Royal Ballet production of the Christmas classic The Nutcracker opens at the Royal Opera House this December. A Christmas Carol

Charles Dickens' immortal festive classic returns to the Old Vic this December. Adapted by Jack Thorne, this year's Christmas production is filled to the brim with festive cheer as the story of a ghostly Christmas evening is brought to life. Featuring themes of redemption, compassion and love, it's the perfect production for all the family to enjoy, offering plenty of food for thought.

Dick Whittington

What's Christmas without a cheesy pantomime I hear you say? Head to the Lyric Hammersmith theatre for a 2-hour long festive themed spectacular perfect for all of the family to enjoy. Situated in the newly refurbished auditorium, the classic pantomime tale is guaranteed to make you laugh with a hilarious dame, a host of innuendos and plenty of audience participation to get involved with. Dick Whittington is family fun for all, with the added bonus of tons of free sweets being thrown into the crowd throughout.

Chicago

If you're wanting a bit of an escape from all the festive themed productions, the sensational stage version of Chicago is on at the Phoenix Theatre on Charing Cross Road until January 5th. Led by Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp and featuring X Factor's Alexandra Burke, the star-studded production is celebrating its 21st year anniversary and is packed with enough drama and razzle dazzle to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
