In October 2013, St Edward Homes employees elected Trinity Hospice to be their chosen charity and corporate partner.
Trinity Hospice provides free, skilled and compassionate end of life care to over 2,000 individuals and families every year in Central and South West London.
Trinity's team of experts do everything possible to help their patients live the remainder of their life to the full for whatever time is left - be that a year, a month or a week.
To continue providing these necessary, life enhancing services, Trinity must raise £10 million every year. Less than a third of the required funding is received from the NHS meaning that Trinity relies on the support and generosity of local people and businesses.
St Edward has set out a 3 year plan which aims to raise £200,000 over 3 years.
Trinity are currently converting part of their office space on the top floor of the hospice in to five residential flats. The purpose of this is to generate continuous income for Trinity via rental income. St Edward has also supported Trinity with advice on technical and legal aspects of the conversion.
During 2014 six events were held, including an auction, an urban golf day and a bake off, raising a total of £48,800 for Trinity Hospice.
St Edward has also raised over £9,000 for other Berkeley Foundation charities, participating in Vertical Rush, the London Marathon and Royal Parks Half Marathon.
In 2014 St Edward won the Trinity Hospice Star Award for Best National Corporate Partner 2014.
The award was presented to St Edward due to the on-going commitment and dedication to fundraising shown in the first year of the partnership, which made St Edward Trinity's largest corporate donor. The award is a testament to the on-going participation and fundraising undertaken by St Edward staff and their contractors and suppliers.
St Edward has identified a number of different events to raise money in 2015, including a clay pigeon shooting day and the second annual urban golf day. If you would like further information on these events please contact email@example.com .
